Germany's Chancenkarte (Opportunity Card)
The Chancenkarte represents a major shift in German immigration policy, allowing skilled workers to enter Germany without a job offer.
How the Points System Works
Applicants need at least 6 points from the following criteria:

Key Requirements
- Qualifications: Must have a foreign qualification recognized in Germany OR vocational training in a shortage occupation
- Language: B1 German OR B2 English minimum
- Financial proof: Sufficient funds for the stay
What You Can Do
The Opportunity Card allows you to:
- Stay in Germany for up to 1 year
- Work part-time (up to 20 hours/week) while job searching
- Attend interviews and trial work periods
Once you secure a qualifying job offer, you can switch to a regular work visa.
