887 — Skilled Regional visa (subclass 887)

The Skilled Regional (Subclass 887) is an Australian permanent residence visa for holders of qualifying regional provisional visas — subclass 489, 475, 487, or similar — who have lived in a specified regional area for at least 2 years and worked full-time there for at least 1 year.

The grant confers permanent residence with no maximum stay limit. The base application charge is AUD 505; an additional AUD 4,890 applies to any applicant aged 18 or over without functional English. No job offer is required — qualification rests entirely on prior regional residence and work history.
