Agri-Food Pilot

The Agri-Food Pilot was a Canadian permanent residence pathway for experienced non-seasonal workers in meat processing, greenhouse, and livestock industries. Closed to new applications as of May 14, 2025, IRCC continues to process applications submitted before that date.

Applicants needed 12 months of full-time Canadian work experience in a qualifying NOC occupation, CLB 4 language proficiency, a high school diploma, and a valid job offer outside Quebec. Fees total CAD 1,590 (processing + RPRF) plus CAD 85 biometrics; processing runs 6–12 months. Spouses could obtain open work permits.

This visa is ideal for non-seasonal agri-food workers already in Canada with a year of qualifying experience who applied before the May 2025 closure.
