Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP)

The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) was a Canadian community-driven permanent residence program that ran until August 31, 2024. It enabled skilled workers to gain PR by securing a job offer from a designated employer in a participating rural or northern community.

Applicants needed 1 year of skilled work experience, CLB 4-6 language proficiency, a Canadian high school equivalent, and proof of funds (CAD 2,528 minimum). Fees totalled CAD 1,650 (CAD 990 processing + CAD 575 RPRF + CAD 85 biometrics). PR was permanent; spouses could work without restriction.
