The Short-Stay Visa (Visa de court séjour) is the standard entry authorization for foreign nationals visiting Cameroon for tourism, family visits, or short-term business engagements. This visa is typically issued for stays of up to 90 days, though its validity can vary based on the specific type and the applicant's nationality. It is an essential requirement for most international travelers, and it must be obtained prior to arrival, either through an embassy or via the official electronic visa portal. The processing time and associated costs can fluctuate, generally ranging from $90 to $275 depending on the applicant's nationality and the requested processing speed.

To qualify for a short-stay visa, applicants must provide a passport valid for at least six months beyond their intended departure date, containing at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps. A critical and non-negotiable requirement for entry into Cameroon is proof of yellow fever vaccination, which must be presented via an official International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis. Travelers are also expected to provide evidence of their travel itinerary, such as round-trip flight reservations, and proof of sufficient financial means to support themselves throughout the duration of their stay in the country.
