EIV — Entertainment Industry Visa (EIV)

The Entertainment Industry Visa (EIV) is tailored for international professionals arriving in Ethiopia to contribute to the country's creative and media sectors. This visa is suitable for a wide range of individuals, including performers, film crew members, television production staff, and various support personnel involved in live or recorded entertainment projects. It provides a legal framework for these professionals to conduct their work within Ethiopia's borders for the duration of their specific project.

Available in both single-entry (30-day) and multiple-entry (90-day) formats, the EIV allows for flexibility based on the production schedule. Applicants are expected to maintain valid travel documentation and comply with all local regulations regarding their professional activities. Should a project extend beyond the initial visa validity, professionals are qualifying to request an extension by visiting the Immigration and Citizenship Service (ICS) head office in Addis Ababa. Failure to adhere to these terms or overstaying the visa may result in legal penalties.
