Applicants for the MDV can choose from various durations, including single-entry 30-day options or multiple-entry visas valid for up to 12 months, depending on the expected length of the treatment and recovery process. It is essential for patients to ensure their documentation is complete, including the necessary invitation from the host medical facility, to avoid delays. If treatment requires an extension, holders must apply through the Immigration and Citizenship Service (ICS) in Addis Ababa before their current visa expires.
