Temporary permit for non-EU seasonal workers in agriculture, forestry, or tourism with a maximum 9-month stay within a 12-month period.
The Seasonal Work Residence Permit (Kausityön oleskelulupa) allows non-EU/EEA nationals to work temporarily in agriculture, forestry, or tourism in Finland. Issued by the Finnish Immigration Service under the EU Seasonal Workers Directive, it requires a confirmed job offer and is open to workers aged 18+ seeking up to 9 months' employment within a rolling 12-month period.
Initial fees are EUR 530 (electronic) or EUR 630 (paper); renewals cost EUR 230–430 depending on format. Processing typically takes 1 month, with some cases reaching 3 months. The permit is renewable for successive seasonal periods within a 9-month annual cap. Spouses cannot work on this visa, and family members cannot claim residence. Employment contracts and health insurance are mandatory.
