Citizen Spouse's Entry Permit

The Citizen Spouse's Entry Permit is designed for non-citizen individuals who are married to a citizen of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). This permit allows the spouse to reside in the FSM, facilitating family unity within the nation. It is typically issued for a duration of one year and is subject to annual renewal, provided that the applicant can demonstrate that the marriage remains intact and that the parties are not irreconcilably separated. In cases of demonstrated hardship, the FSM authorities may grant or reissue the permit for an indefinite duration.

To apply for this permit, the applicant must provide official documentation as proof of their marriage to an FSM citizen. Additionally, the application process requires the submission of a valid passport, a recent passport-sized photograph, and evidence of good standing, including a medical clearance certificate and a police clearance from the applicant's country of citizenship or their place of residence for the preceding six months. The permit may be revoked or denied if the marriage is terminated or if the citizen-spouse is deceased, unless otherwise determined by the FSM government.
