The Ghana Business Visa (Single Entry) is established under the framework of the Immigration Act, 2000 (Act 573) and the Immigration Regulations, 2001 (L.I. 1691). It serves as a critical entry authorization for foreign professionals, investors, and business representatives who need to enter Ghana for short-term commercial engagements. It fills the gap between tourist travel and long-term employment, allowing for legitimate business activities while maintaining strict immigration oversight and security controls.

This visa is tailored for individuals attending meetings, conferences, trade shows, or conducting business negotiations. It is distinctive because it permits limited professional activities—such as after-sales installation or repairs—that are not allowed under a standard tourist visa. Applicants must provide formal documentation, including an invitation letter from a Ghanaian business associate and a support letter from their own company. While it facilitates professional interaction, it does not grant the right to take up regular employment in the Ghanaian labor market.
