The Tourist e-Visa was established as part of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea's initiative to modernize its immigration system and boost tourism, officially launching on July 1, 2023. This visa is designed for international travelers visiting Equatorial Guinea specifically for leisure, sightseeing, or cultural exploration. The visa is distinctive for its user-friendly, 'do-it-yourself' online application, which allows applicants from all nationalities to obtain travel authorization prior to departure, provided they hold a passport with at least six months of validity and can demonstrate their intent for short-term, non-commercial travel.
