Dependant/Partner/Spouse Employment Permit (often referred to as the "Dependant Employment Permit" under the Employment Permits Act 2024).
This permit lets recognised dependents of Critical Skills Employment Permit holders or Hosting Agreement researchers, who lack automatic Stamp 1 access, work for a specified Irish employer.
There is no application fee and no Labour Market Needs Test. It is tied to the primary holder's permission and capped at two years per grant, with renewals available before expiry.
This visa is ideal for the dependants, partners, and spouses of non-CSEP employment permit holders who want their own employer-tied permit when the simpler Stamp 1 access route does not apply.
Recognized dependent family member (other than spouse/de-facto partner) of a CSEP holder or Hosting Agreement researcher
Formally determined as a qualifying dependent by the Department of Justice
Continuous residence in Ireland
Not pursuing full-time education
Valid job offer from an Irish-registered employer
Minimum wage salary and at least 10 hours per week
Copy of primary permit holder's CSEP or Hosting Agreement
