Entertainer Visa

The Japan Entertainer Visa is a work visa for foreign performers, athletes, and artists — including singers, actors, dancers, musicians, and models. Applicants must be sponsored by a Japanese organization and earn at least JPY 200,000 per month under a formal performance contract.

The visa is granted for up to 3 years (also available for 1 year, 6 months, 3 months, or 15 days) and is renewable. The sponsor must meet financial and facility requirements. Dependents may join on a family stay visa; spousal work rights are restricted. PR is achievable after sufficient residency.
