C4 — Work Visa (Type HG / C1-C11)

The Work Visa (Type HG / C1–C11) is established under the Law of Mongolia on the Legal Status of Foreign Nationals. It is designed to regulate the entry and residency of foreign citizens who are employed by Mongolian entities under formal employment agreements. This visa fills the gap for skilled international labor needed in various sectors, including construction, mining, finance, and education, ensuring that foreign workers are legally documented and compliant with local labor laws.

This visa is intended for foreign nationals who have secured a job offer from a registered Mongolian employer. It covers a wide range of professions across eleven distinct sectors (C1–C11), such as engineering, healthcare, and specialized technical fields. A distinctive feature is that the employer must obtain a pre-work permit and visa permission before the employee arrives. Applicants must also maintain valid health insurance throughout their stay to ensure compliance with national health standards.
