It is not a traditional visa but an operational protocol requiring coordination between a local shipping agent and the Passport and Immigration Office. The process is highly specialized and requires strict adherence to documentation and notification timelines.
Must be a bona fide merchant seaman.
Must be travelling on duty or in transit to join/leave a vessel.
Must possess a valid Passport and Seaman’s Book.
Must have coordination via a local shipping agent with the Passport and Immigration Office (PIO).
