Up to 1-year multiple-entry visa for senior investors and entrepreneurs visiting Malaysia for business exploration; no employment permitted.
The MIDA Investor Pass is a strategic visa for foreign investors seeking frequent Malaysia access for business exploration, deal negotiation, and investment oversight. It targets senior decision-makers (founders, board members, C-suite executives) who cannot work in Malaysia. The visa requires Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) support and application via the Xpats Gateway.
This pass permits multiple entries and a 6-month initial stay, extendable once for a further 6 months, capped at 12 months total. No dependents are permitted. Spouses cannot work. Processing takes 5 working days via the official portal. Main fees include MYR 1,296 application processing and the Immigration Pass Fee for the 6-month validity period.
This visa is ideal for senior foreign investors and business decision-makers conducting market research or evaluating investment opportunities in Malaysia without working locally.
