The Sarawak Malaysia My Second Home (S-MM2H) is an autonomous residency scheme for those aged 30+ administered by Sarawak's state government. Applicants must place RM 500,000 in a Sarawak bank fixed deposit and demonstrate monthly offshore income (RM 10,000 single, RM 15,000 couples) or liquid assets (RM 100,000–RM 200,000). A Sarawakian sponsor or licensed S-MM2H agent is required.
The initial 5-year pass is renewable once for a further 5 years (10 years total). The application fee is MYR 5,000 with approximately 90 working days processing. Part-time work up to 20 hours weekly is permitted in approved professional sectors. Spouses and dependent children may accompany you; a minimum 30-day annual stay is required for renewal.
