Employment Visa (تأشيرة عمل)

The Employment Visa is the primary work authorization for foreign nationals in Oman, established under the Sultanate's labor regulations to manage the expatriate workforce. It is sponsored by a registered Omani employer who must first obtain a labor clearance from the Ministry of Labour to confirm the necessity of the hire. This visa fills the gap for long-term, full-time professional roles, ensuring that foreign talent is legally integrated into the local economy while adhering to Omanisation policies that prioritize national employment where possible.

This visa is intended for foreign professionals aged 21 to 60 who have secured a legitimate job offer from an Omani entity. It is distinctive for its two-year validity, which is renewable, and its role as the foundation for obtaining a formal Resident Card. Ideal applicants are skilled workers whose expertise is required for the company's operations.
