The Polish Airport Transit Visa (Type A) permits passage through airport international transit zones only, without entering Poland or Schengen territory. Designed for nationals of designated higher-risk countries, it enables air connectivity while maintaining security oversight. Holders cannot leave the transit area or access the country.

Processing takes 15–45 days with a €90 application fee. The visa allows 24 hours in the airport transit zone, extendable to 48 hours in exceptional circumstances. Applicants need a valid passport, onward flight ticket, and destination country documentation. No work authorization is granted.
