The Portugal D7 Visa is a residence visa for financially independent individuals with stable passive income from pensions, investments, or similar sources. Unlike work visas requiring local employment, the D7 allows applicants to integrate into Portuguese society while maintaining foreign income.

Applicants must demonstrate EUR 920 monthly passive income (EUR 11,040 annually per Regulatory Decree n.º 139/2025) and maintain EUR 11,040 in savings. The application fee is EUR 110, with processing taking 60–90 days. The visa is renewable every two years, grants full Schengen residency rights, and provides a pathway to permanent residency after five years.
