Residence Permit for Mobility Studies

This permit facilitates international students in mobility degree programmes at Swedish institutions. Applicants must be admitted full-time with comprehensive health insurance and demonstrate SEK 10,656 monthly financial support.

Work authorization is limited to 15 hours/week during semesters (bachelor's/master's, permits from 11 June 2026 onwards); unlimited during June–August and for education/research work at the institution. Initial processing takes roughly 2 months (75th percentile); extensions take up to 6 months. Fees: SEK 1,500 (adults) / SEK 750 (children). The permit is renewable for the study duration.

This visa is ideal for undergraduate and master's-level students in international mobility programmes who combine study with part-time work in Sweden.
