WP-PA — Work Permit (Performing Artiste)

Singapore's Work Permit for performing artiste lets foreign performers work on stage at bars, hotels and nightclubs holding a CAT 1 Public Entertainment Licence. MOM issues it to employers, with no minimum salary; performers must be at least 18 (under 50 for non-Malaysians, under 58 for Malaysians).

The pass runs up to 6 months, is non-renewable, and bars holders from any other Work Permit for a year afterwards. Total cost is SGD 175 (SGD 75 application + SGD 100 issuance), typically decided within a week. Outlets face a quota of 8 artistes (up to 12 case-by-case) plus a SGD 450 monthly levy; no dependant passes.

This visa is ideal for foreign stage performers with a confirmed short-term engagement at a licensed Singapore venue — but applications close on 1 June 2026.
