Dependent visa for spouses and children under 20 of foreigners working or studying in Thailand, with initial 90-day entry extendable to 1 year.
The Non-Immigrant O (Dependent) visa allows spouses and children under 20 to accompany primary visa holders authorized to work or study in Thailand. Issued under the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979), it enables expatriates to maintain family unity during extended residence.
Processing takes 3β10 working days. Applicants must maintain 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account or show 480,000 THB annual income. The visa grants 90-day initial entry, extendable to 1-year increments. Fees are THB 2,000 (single-entry) or THB 5,000 (multiple-entry). Dependants cannot work under this visa.
This visa is ideal for spouses and minor children of foreign professionals and academics authorized to reside long-term in Thailand.
