• Strictly limited to attending meetings of designated international organizations — not for general employment or residency
• Cannot be renewed inside the United States; new visa must be obtained at a US Embassy or Consulate abroad
• Principal work authorization restricted to registered organization only
• No standard pathway to permanent residence; Section 13 adjustment available only under rare circumstances with a 50/year cap across all qualifying categories
• Status ends with approximately 30-day grace period once representative recognition lapses or mission concludes
• Dependents seeking work authorization must obtain EAD via Office of Foreign Missions and USCIS (6–10 weeks processing)
