Training Visa

The Training Visa was introduced by the Bahraini government in September 2022 as part of a broader Economic Recovery Plan aimed at enhancing national competitiveness and supporting development across key sectors. This initiative was designed to fill a specific gap for foreign nationals who do not require full-time work permits but need to enter the Kingdom for short-term, occupation-based training. By streamlining the entry process for trainers and trainees, the government sought to facilitate knowledge transfer and professional development within both the public and private sectors.

This visa is intended for foreign nationals who are either traveling to Bahrain to conduct professional training or to participate in occupation-based training programs. It is a multiple-entry electronic visa valid for six months from the date of issue, with the possibility of a six-month extension. The visa is distinctive because it requires a formal letter from a host entity in Bahrain that clearly outlines the purpose and scope of the training, ensuring that the applicant's presence is tied to a legitimate, documented professional development activity.
