A75 — Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) / Quebec CSQ Work Permit

The Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) is a Canadian open work permit for foreign nationals already in Canada who have applied for permanent residence. It lets principal applicants maintain uninterrupted work authorization while their PR application is processed.

The permit is issued until PR is finalized, up to about 2 years, and carries open work authorization with no employer restriction. Total cost is CAD $340 including biometrics. Spouses may apply for their own open work permit; dependent children can study or visit.
