Overview

Lets remote workers earning at least 3 Colombian minimum wages (~USD $1,260/month) live in Colombia for up to 2 years while serving foreign employers or clients.

Created by Resolution 5477 of 2022, Colombia's Visa V Nómada Digital lets remote workers, freelancers and digital entrepreneurs live in Colombia while serving foreign employers or clients, or building a digital/IT venture of interest to the country. It is granted for up to two years and forbids any paid work for persons or entities domiciled in Colombia.

Applicants must show monthly income of at least three Colombian minimum wages (≈ COP 5.25M / USD $1,260) over the last three months, hold international health insurance covering Colombia, and supply a foreign-employer letter or entrepreneurship plan. Government fees total USD $134 (USD $52 study + USD $82 issuance). Spouses and dependents may be added as beneficiaries.

This visa is ideal for self-employed remote professionals and salaried teleworkers with stable foreign income who want a 2-year legal base in Colombia without seeking local employment or permanent residency.
