Religious Community Employee Permit (Uskonnollisen yhdyskunnan työntekijän oleskelulupa)

The Religious Community Employee Permit is Finland's residence permit for foreign nationals hired to perform ecclesiastical duties within registered religious organizations. Under the Finnish Aliens Act, it allows faith communities to recruit qualified clergy and religious staff from abroad. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum annual income of €17,556 and hold a signed employment contract.

Permits are renewable with a pathway to permanent residency. Online application fees are €530 initially and €230 for renewals; paper submissions cost €630 and €430 respectively. Spouses may work without restrictions. Processing takes 1–2 months.
