Overview

Single-entry visa for attending short-term training courses or professional development programs in Indonesia.

The Short Training Course Visa (Index C9) is a single-entry visa created for foreign nationals who wish to participate in non-degree educational programs, professional training, or benchmarking activities within Indonesia. This visa is suitable for students, researchers, professionals, and educators who are enrolled in short-term courses such as language learning, cultural training, yoga, culinary arts, or specialized industry workshops. It allows participants to engage in structured learning environments hosted by recognized Indonesian institutions, companies, or associations, providing a legal pathway for capacity building and skill enhancement.

The C9 visa is initially granted for a 60-day stay and offers the flexibility of being extendable twice, with each extension lasting 60 days, for a maximum total stay of 180 days. To qualify, applicants must be sponsored by an Indonesian entity and provide official documentation, such as a Letter of Acceptance or proof of registration from the training provider. Like other short-term visit visas, the C9 does not allow for paid employment or the generation of income within Indonesia. It is strictly intended for educational and training purposes, ensuring that visitors can focus on their development while adhering to local immigration laws.
