Overview

Authorization for qualifying LTVP/LTVP+ holders to work for a specific employer.

Singapore's Business Visit Visa is a short-stay entry visa from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for nationals of visa-required countries travelling for non-remunerative business such as meetings, conferences, and contract negotiations. The visa is pre-entry permission; the actual stay is set by the Visit Pass granted at the checkpoint.

The fee is S$30, with applications typically decided within three working days. Apply within 30 days of arrival via the ICA SAVE e-Service, through a local contact in Singapore (Form V39A Letter of Introduction) or an Authorised Visa Agent at a Singapore Overseas Mission. Holders cannot take up employment or services requiring a work pass; there is no dependent visa or PR pathway.

This visa is ideal for executives, consultants, and corporate representatives from visa-required countries making short, non-employment business trips to Singapore.

Must have a confirmed job offer from a Singapore employer

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Candidate's written consent for the employer to apply for the LOC

Candidate's valid LTVP/LTVP+ card (must be valid for at least 3 months)

Candidate's passport bio-data page

Employment offer letter or contract

Additional profession-specific documents for selected professions (e.g. healthcare professionals, lawyers, football players/coaches, regional representatives, food-establishment employees)

Advantages & Considerations

Key Benefits

  • Free of charge — no application or issuance fee (SGD 0)
  • Fast processing: typically 1 week via the EP eService on myMOM Portal
  • Open to LTVP/LTVP+ spouses and unmarried children (under 21) of Singapore Citizens and PRs
  • Renewable alongside the underlying LTVP/LTVP+ pass
  • No foreign worker levy and no quota for the employer
  • Application is handled by the employer or appointed employment agent
  • Issued with no fixed minimum-salary or minimum-education threshold

Worth Knowing

  • Tied to one specific employer — a new LOC is needed for each change of job
  • Underlying LTVP/LTVP+ must be valid for at least 3 months at the time of application
  • LOC validity is capped by the LTVP/LTVP+ expiry, whichever is earlier
  • Employer (not the candidate) must submit and manage the application
  • Selected professions (healthcare, lawyers, football players/coaches, regional reps, food-establishment staff) need additional supporting documents
  • No valid ICA-issued LTVP or LTVP+ tied to a Singapore Citizen or PR sponsor
  • No confirmed Singapore job offer at the time of application
  • Working in an objectionable occupation (e.g. dance hostess) is not allowed

Application Process

1

Candidate secures a job offer from a Singapore employer (LTVP/LTVP+ must be valid for at least 3 months)

2

Employer obtains the candidate's written consent to apply for the LOC

3

Employer (or appointed employment agent) logs in to the EP eService on myMOM Portal and submits the application with required documents

4

Employer checks application status after 1 week and uploads any additional documents if requested

5

MOM emails the outcome; candidate may begin work only after the employer receives the LOC
