High-earning work pass for senior professionals in Singapore, not tied to any employer.
The Miscellaneous Work Pass (MWP) is a Singapore short-term work authorisation issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for foreign religious workers, seminar or conference speakers, and journalists covering events here. It must be sponsored by a Singapore-based organisation or society and is tied to one approved activity.
Stay is capped at 60 days, the pass is non-renewable, and no dependent passes are available. The S$175 administrative fee is paid by the employer or local sponsor when submitting online via MOM's eService, and processing usually takes around 6 weeks for most cases — applications should be lodged at least 2 months before the assignment starts.
This visa is ideal for religious speakers, seminar presenters, and visiting journalists with a Singapore-based sponsor and a defined short-term engagement.
