The E-3D is a US dependent visa for the spouse and unmarried children under 21 of an E-3 Australian specialty occupation worker. It grants the right to reside in the US for the duration of the principal's E-3 status.

Stay is tied to the principal's E-3 status and renews with it. Spouses are employment authorized incident to status — no separate EAD required — and may work for any US employer using their E-3S I-94 as proof. Dependent children may not work. No annual cap or PR pathway exists.
