The Eritrea Student Visa is designed for foreign nationals who have been accepted into an accredited Eritrean educational institution for full-time study. This visa allows international students to reside in Eritrea for the duration of their academic program, provided they maintain their enrollment status and comply with local immigration laws. The visa is intended solely for educational purposes, and holders are generally prohibited from engaging in paid or voluntary employment without explicit authorization from the Central Immigration Office. The fee for this visa is approximately USD 73, though applicants should verify current costs and processing times with the nearest Eritrean consulate.

To qualify, applicants must provide an official letter of enrollment or acceptance from the accredited Eritrean school, which details the program of study and the expected duration of the stay. Applicants must also demonstrate sufficient financial means to cover their tuition, living expenses, and health insurance throughout their period of study. As with other visa types, a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay is required, along with proof of residency for non-U.S. citizens.
