MICE Visa (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events Visa)

The MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Visa is a streamlined, specialized entry category recently introduced by the Namibian Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security. It was developed to position Namibia as a premier destination for international business events, filling the gap where standard tourist visas were insufficient for professional delegates and short-term work permits were overly burdensome for event participants. It simplifies the administrative process for large-scale corporate and professional gatherings.

This visa is specifically for delegates, speakers, moderators, sponsors, and media practitioners attending registered MICE events in Namibia. It is distinct because it requires the event convener to register the event with the Namibia Convention Bureau to obtain a unique event code, which delegates then use to apply. This process is faster than traditional work permits and is tailored for professionals who need to conduct business-related activities, such as presenting or facilitating, without the complexities of a long-term employment visa.
