The Netherlands Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) permits non-EU nationals to visit the Schengen Area for tourism, business, or family visits. Valid for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, it requires a EUR 90 fee, travel insurance of at least EUR 30,000, and proof of EUR 55 per day in funds.

Processing takes up to 15 calendar days, extendable to 45 if further checks are needed. Applications are submitted in person at a Dutch embassy, consulate, or VFS Global centre, with biometrics required. Extensions are limited to emergencies only — routine renewal is not available.
