SH — Religious Visa (Type SH)

The Religious Visa (Type SH) is governed by the Law of Mongolia on the Legal Status of Foreign Nationals and regulations concerning the activities of religious organizations. It is established to allow foreign nationals to visit or reside in Mongolia to participate in religious activities under the auspices of a registered religious organization. This visa fills the gap for international religious workers and missionaries who are invited by recognized local institutions to perform their duties.

This visa is intended for foreign nationals aged 18 and older who are invited by a religious organization that is officially registered with the Mongolian government. It is for individuals involved in religious service, study, or missionary work. A distinctive aspect of this visa is that it is strictly dependent on the sponsoring organization's legal status; the applicant must demonstrate that their activities are fully aligned with the scope of the host organization’s registered purpose.
